Terms of Service
Last updated November 5, 2026
These Terms govern your use of SiteGuard (the “Service”), a read-only website security checker operated by [Legal entity name] (“we”, “us”). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
1. What the Service does
SiteGuard checks a website from the outside — the way any visitor or search engine can see it — and reports security issues in plain English. A free check shows whether the site is at risk and how many issues were found; a paid report explains each issue and how to fix it. The Service never logs in to your site, submits your forms, changes your data, or reads your private or customer data.
2. Authorization — you may only scan sites you're allowed to
This is the most important term. You may use the Service only on a website that you own or operate, or that you have explicit permission to test. When you submit a website and confirm that it is yours, you represent and warrant that you have the authority to authorize a security scan of it, including its active, non-destructive tests.
You must not use the Service to scan, probe, or test any website or system you do not own and are not authorized to test. You are solely responsible for your use of the Service and for any scan you run. We may refuse, rate-limit, or block any scan or user at our discretion, and we may cooperate with law enforcement regarding unauthorized use.
3. The report is information, not a guarantee
The Service checks what is visible from outside your site against recognized standards. It cannot see everything, and a clean result is not a promise that your site is secure or cannot be hacked. The report is provided for informational purposes only, is not professional security, legal, or compliance advice, and is not a substitute for a full security audit or penetration test by a qualified professional. You are responsible for deciding what to act on.
4. Payment and refunds
The paid report is a one-time purchase. Prices are shown at checkout and may change. Payments are processed by Stripe; we don't store your card details. If you're not satisfied, contact us at hi@trysiteguard.com within 14 days of purchase for a refund. You are responsible for any applicable taxes.
5. Acceptable use
Don't use the Service to break the law, to test systems without authorization, to overload or disrupt any site or our infrastructure, to resell or republish reports as your own without permission, or to reverse-engineer or copy the Service.
6. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service or from acting on a report. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
7. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claim or demand arising out of your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your scanning of any site you were not authorized to test.
8. Changes and contact
We may update these Terms; the “last updated” date above shows when. Continued use after a change means you accept it. These Terms are governed by the laws of [province/state and country], without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Questions? Email hi@trysiteguard.com.
